Jury gets long break in Tiffin robbery trial

12/27/2008

TIFFIN Jurors hearing the case of a Clyde, Ohio, man charged with robbing a local pharmacy at gunpoint were given a long weekend break.

Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Michael Kelbley sent the jury home Wednesday and told them to return Monday to resume deliberations after the panel was unable to reach a verdict in the trial of William H. Perkins, Jr., 36.

After five days of testimony, the jury heard closing arguments Tuesday and began its deliberations.

Mr. Perkins, who took the stand in his defense, is charged with multiple felonies stemming from a June 23 holdup at the Medicine Shoppe in Tiffin.
