Tips sought on West Toledo man charged with attempted murder

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program on the whereabouts of a West Toledo man who is accused of shooting another man six times in late October, authorities said.

A warrant has been issued for Anthony Brown, 21, of 2437 Maplewood Ave. charging him with attempted murder, court records show.

The victim, Delano Wellington, 36, drove himself to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 25.

He had been shot at Lawrence and Delaware avenues in Toledo's Old West End.

Police released no additional details about the incident.

Mr. Brown is described as 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds.

Anyone with information on Mr. Brown's whereabouts is asked to contact the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous, and they could be eligible for a cash reward.
