Hostel group, Metroparks to offer travel program

1/2/2009

To combat cabin fever this winter, the Toledo Area Metroparks has teamed up with Hostelling International for weekly activities.

The Travel Circle programs are planned for 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. each Saturday through January, February, and March in either the Lodge at Oak Openings Preserve or the meeting room at the Nature Photography Center in Secor Metropark.

The programs, coordinated by members of the Hostelling International-Toledo Area Council, will be preceded by a walk or cross-country ski in the park starting at 1 p.m.

The series begins at Oak Openings Saturday with a Christmas on the Danube program. Other locations to be featured include Chile, Nova Scotia, South Africa, and Costa Rica.
