Suspect in November robbery of Holland bank indicted

A suspect in the Nov. 29 robbery of the Fifth Third Bank branch in Holland was indicted this week in U.S. District Court in Toledo.

Nicholas Woytyshyn, 27, of Holland was charged with bank robbery for stealing money from the bank at 6600 Airport Hwy. He was ordered to remain in custody pending further court dates in front of Judge Jack Zouhary.

ccording to an affidavit filed with the indictment, the suspect entered the bank just before noon and handed the teller a handwritten note that said, I have a gun Give it up and no one will be hurt 100s, 50s, 20s, only! No dye packs or I ll be back Monday and I will hurt then. The man left on foot with $6,770.

Tips led investigators to suspect Mr. Woytyshyn, who was arrested Dec. 2. After being interviewed by police, he confessed to robbing the bank, the affidavit said.
