The Salvation Army said its Annual Appeal at Christmas raised more than $300,000, allowing it to provide toys to 3,097 children, distribute 1,181 food baskets, and assist 651 senior citizens with food gift cards.

Its Adopt-A-Family program served 299 families or 723 children with food, toys, and clothing, and local churches and businesses provided 7,476 toys through the Angel Tree Program.

The agency fell $98,000 short of its $400,000 fund-raising goal.
