The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced that up to $2 million in federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and most private, nonprofit organizations in Lucas County.
The loans are being offered as a result of several frost, freeze, and cold-weather events last spring.
They are available at 4 percent interest for terms up to 30 years for businesses that were affected by the cold s damage to farms.
The freeze and frosts hit the area between March 1 and May 31.
Disaster victims should call the SBA s customer service center, 1-800-659-2955, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
