2 indicted in robberies of gas stations, eateries

Two men charged in the robberies of Toledo area gas stations and restaurants were indicted on several charges yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Joseph Strawinski III, 23, of 255 Willow Creek St. Apt. 1, and William Burnside, 29, of 3318 Glenwood Ave., were each charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and robbery as well as one count of theft. Both are in custody in the Lucas County jail.

The pair was stopped and arrested by police about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13 near Upton and Berdan avenues. They are suspects in robberies that occurred Jan. 9 to 12.
