The science museum formerly known as COSI needs a new name, and its organizers are now fielding suggestions from members of the public.

Robert Savage, chairman of the center's Create a Great Name Committee, announced Wednesday that they are especially interested in receiving name suggestions from school children.

COSI closed in December, 2007, but was revived last November when Lucas County voters approved a 0.17-mill levy to support it. The downtown Toledo museum, tentatively named the Toledo Science Center, is scheduled to reopen this fall.

Naming suggestions may be submitted via online at toledosciencecenter.org or by E-mailing names@toledosciencecenter.org.
