Northwest Ohio Saturday woke up to a light blanket of snow covering the region.

There was a half-inch of snow accumulation at 7 a.m. Saturday morning at Toledo Express Airport, and about an inch in other parts of the region, said Martin Thompson of the National Weather Service office in Cleveland.

The weather service expects the light snowfall to continue throughout the day with little accumulation.

'That should diminish by tonight,' Mr. Thompson said.

Highs are expected in the mid-30s Saturday with lows Saturday night in the 20s.

Cloudy skies and mid-30s are expected for Sunday.
