Blade contributor Dyer to speak at BGSU lecture

BOWLING GREEN The political and military implications of global warming will be the focus of the annual Edward Lamb Peace Lecture at Bowling Green State University.

Geopolitical analyst Gwynne Dyer will discuss Climate Wars: The Geopolitics of Climate Change at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Theater.

The lecture is to take traditional global warming discussion of the physical and social changes a step further into the political and military effects.

It is free and open to the public.

Mr. Dyer has been a freelance journalist and lecturer on international affairs for more than 20 years. His columns appear in The Blade. His career also has included TV and radio producing, as well as writing books.

The annual lecture began in 1986. It brings international experts to BGSU to address environmental issues and their effects on world security.
