The woman accused of murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated robbery earlier this month involving an 83-year-old Toledo woman was arraigned Monday morning in Toledo Municipal Court.
Mandi Abdo, 25, of 1248 Yates St., who is charged in the Feb. 6 incident at the home of Cecelia Sobecki, of 567 Austin St., was ordered to be held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $1 million bond pending a preliminary hearing set for March. 2.
During the arraignment by Judge Robert Christiansen, Ms. Abdo appeared upset, looking down most of the time and occasionally looking up.
The victim s family members were not present in the courtroom. Family members of the accused left the courtroom immediately after the arraignment, refusing any comment.
Ms. Sobecki died Feb. 8 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. The Lucas County coroner ruled her death a homicide. In the Feb. 6 incident, she was pushed to the floor twice when she refused to hand over money, police said.
