Firefighters battle fire in West Toledo

Firefighters were at the scene of a house fire in West Toledo Tuesday morning, where heavy smoke was seen coming from the second floor of the structure.

Crews were dispatched to the blaze at 837 Underwood Ave., near Victory Avenue, about 10 a.m.

The wood-framed house, built in 1926, is owned by Valleywood Properties, LLC, according to the Lucas County Auditor's Web site.
