Man, 18, killed in crash near Lima

LIMA, Ohio -An 18-year-old Continental, Ohio, man was killed Tuesday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guard rail in Putnam County's Perry Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Dustin Geckle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Geckle was on State Rt. 634, between Continental and Cloverdale, about 7:30 a.m. when he lost control while rounding a curve, went off the right side of the road, and hit a guard rail. He was thrown from the vehicle, troopers at the patrol's Lima post said.
