ADRIAN A mistrial was declared yesterday in the trial of a Clinton, Mich., man charged with solicitation of murder for allegedly hiring a friend to murder a northern Michigan couple. A Lenawee County Circuit Court jury was unable to reach a verdict in the trial of Brad Rounds, 48, who was being held in the county jail on a $200,000 bond.

The panel, which began deliberations on Tuesday, was asked to decide if Mr. Rounds intended to have the couple killed or if he was frustrated with ongoing legal issues surrounding his late mother s estate.
