Clyde man gets 16 years for robbing Tiffin shop

3/7/2009

TIFFIN A Clyde man who robbed a Tiffin pharmacy at gunpoint was sentenced Thursday to 16 years in prison.

William Perkins, Jr., 36, was convicted last week by a jury in Seneca County Common Pleas Court in what was his second trial on the charges.

The first jury deadlocked in December and Judge Michael Kelbley ordered a new trial.

Perkins was convicted of aggravated robbery with a gun and other charges related to the June 23, 2008, holdup at the Medicine Shoppe in Tiffin.
