A Lenawee County man serving 12 years in prison for possessing more than 18,000 images of child pornography, which he accumulated and produced over a number of years, is also the subject of an arrest warrant in Canada in relation to the same offenses, authorities said.

Gerald Morgan, 62, of Clinton, Mich., was convicted of one count of child pornography and one count of felon in possession of firearms.

He pleaded guilty to the charges in October and was sentenced last month in U.S. District Court in Detroit to 152 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.

Michigan State Police said that they believe Morgan sought out his victims at public places frequented by female children.
