BLUFFTON, Ohio - Two women were taken to Lima hospitals after a collision yesterday at the intersection of State Rt. 235 and County Rd. 304 east of Bluffton, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Christine E. Spicer, 35, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, was eastbound in her Ford Explorer at 2:50 p.m. when she ran a stop sign and was struck by a southbound Honda Accord that also failed to stop, troopers said.

The Explorer rolled on to its left side, and the Honda struck a light pole. The Explorer then came to rest on top of the Honda, troopers from the Findlay post said.

The driver of the Honda, Marjory A. Aler, 59, of Findlay, was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Her passenger, Jean P. Williamson, 64, also of Findlay, was flown to St. Rita's Hospital.

No information on their conditions was available last night. Ms. Spicer and her passengers were not injured. Both drivers were cited for failing to yield at a flashing stop sign.
