Emergency sirens in Lucas County will be activated Wednesday morning for tornado drills at homes, schools, and businesses.

The Lucas County Commissioners, in conjunction with the Lucas County Emergency Management Agency and the Greater Toledo Red Cross, will conduct the drill.

All 120 sirens will be activated for a three-minute steady tone and no all-clear signal will be issued, county officials said.

The State of Ohio will also activate the Emergency Alert System in all counties. The EAS provides early warning messages to local radio and television stations that can then alert communities to dangerous conditions.
