Human skeletal remains found in wooded area near Bryan

BRYAN Authorities are investigating human skeletal remains that were discovered Saturday in woods northwest of here, Williams County Sheriff Kevin Beck said Saturday.

The county's coroner determined that the remains, located by a resident who notified the sheriff's office at about 3:20 p.m. Saturday, are human in origin. The skeletal remains were taken to the Lucas County Coroner's office for an autopsy to help determine cause of death and the person's identity, the sheriff said in a statement.

The Williams County sheriff's office is also reviewing reports of missing person from the tri-state area.
