A man accused in the January death of a bicyclist in a hit-skip accident was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Monday.

Jose Garcia, 27, of 314 Somerset St., was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident. He faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted on both charges.

Garcia is accused of striking Flemming Williamson, 43, of 414 Clyde St., who was riding near Idaho Street and Dover Place early in the morning of Jan. 25. Relatives told police Mr. Williamson left home about 5 a.m. that day to go to a convenience store.

A passer-by discovered Mr. Williamson s body about 6:45 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garcia turned himself in the next day. He remains free on a posted $100,000 bond.
