Man shot in the face in West Toledo
4/14/2009Police continued Tuesday morning to search for the person responsible for shooting a 25-year-old man in the face in West Toledo.
David Gonzalez was taken to Toledo Hospital, where a nursing supervisor said he had no information on a patient by that name.
Police said Mr. Gonzalez's injuries were serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.
Sgt. Tim Noble said the shooting occurred about 2:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Broer, near Avondale Ave. Some details remain unclear, but Sergeant Noble said there were two vehicles following each other through West Toledo and, at some point, shots were fired.
