FOSTORIA - Bond was set at $100,000 Monday for a Sylvania man charged with robbery after an incident Saturday at the Kroger store in Fostoria.

Eric Szkatulski, 27, was arraigned in Fostoria Municipal Court before acting Judge Frank Marley.

Mr. Szkatulski, who is being held in the Seneca County jail, was arrested about 3:15 p.m. after a security officer in the store, on West High Street, confronted him about allegedly shoplifting an over-the-counter medication, Fostoria police Capt. Patrick Brooks said.

Mr. Szkatulski allegedly tried to shove the officer out of the way but was stopped and handcuffed with the help of other Kroger employees, Captain Brooks said.
