4/21/2009

FINDLAY - Thirteen Findlay police officers were notified they will be laid off in two weeks.

The layoffs were announced as the city struggles to deal with a $1.6 million budget shortfall.

In Tiffin, the city is laying off one police officer and reducing city employees' work time by five hours per two-week pay period.

Mayor James Boroff has ordered a hiring freeze and is asking Tiffin Municipal Court Judge Mark Repp and Law Director Brent Howard to consider reducing their employees' hours.
