Accused of severely injuring his infant son, Robert Wielinski was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury on charges of felonious assault and endangering children.

Mr. Wielinski, 30, of 5414 Lewis Ave., is accused of inflicting serious injury on his then 4-week-old son. He faces up to 16 years in prison if convicted.

The child, who was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center on April 5, remains in critical condition, authorities said.

He was hospitalized with a fractured skull, head injuries, and potentially severe brain injuries.

Hospital staff notified police of the injuries.
