3 people injured in Ottawa County crash

OAK HARBOR, Ohio - A Gypsum, Ohio, woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash that also injured two other people Wednesday night five miles west of here in Ottawa County, authorities said.

Alicia Wadsworth, 18, was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. She was listed in serious condition at the hospital Thursday morning, a hospital spokesman said.

The crash, which occurred about 5 p.m. at State Rt. 163 and State Rt. 590, also injured Trevis Cheatham, 42, of Oak Harbor, and Jack Boreman, 20, of Gypsum. Mr. Cheatham, was taken to St. Charles Mercy Hospital, where Mr. Boreman, a passenger in the Wadsworth car, was also transported. Their conditions were not available.

Miss Wadsworth was southbound on Route 590 when she failed to heed a stop sign at Route 163 and drove into the path of the Cheatham vehicle, which was westbound on Route 163, troopers said.

The crash was under investigation and no citations had been issued by Thursday morning, according to the patrol.
