Carey postal worker indicted for stealing credit card applications

A Carey, Ohio, postal worker was indicted in U.S. District Court in Toledo on allegations that she stole pre-approved credit card applications, credit cards, and credit card convenience checks from the mail and used them for her own personal use.

Marsha Billock-Strahm, 48, was charged with 11 counts of aggravated identity theft, false credit card applications, identity theft, and theft of mail.

According to indictment, Ms. Billock-Streahm stole mail from her route and opened four credit cards in others names. She used the credit cards and convenience checks in transactions totaling $12,573, the indictment said.

No court dates have been set.
