Toledo firefighter injured in crash in South Toledo

A Toledo firefighter and another person were injured when an emergency medical vehicle and a van crashed Wednesday morning in South Toledo.

The victims, whose names were not available, were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. at Western Avenue and South Hawley Street, according to Toledo police.

The firefighter was travelling by an emergency medical vehicle at the time of the crash. The other victim was the driver of the van, authorities said.
