Toledo police search for bank robber
5/22/2009Toledo police are investigating a robbery Friday morning of a West Toledo bank by a man wearing a security guard uniform.
A man approached a teller at the Charter One branch at 3230 West Alexis Rd. shortly before 10:30 a.m., threatened he had a gun, and passed a note demanding money, police said.
After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the man fled in a black Volkswagen Jetta with another person behind the wheel, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw the man stuffing the money down his pants and that the dye pack with the money exploded.
