Toledo police seize 161 marijuana plants

Toledo police have confiscated more than $250,000 of marijuana plants during a burglary investigation in central Toledo, authorities said.

Ronald Roberson, 18, of 361 Rockingham Ave., was arrested about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday when officers responding to a burglary report arrived at 311 Boston Place and apprehended him after a short pursuit. He was charged with breaking and entering and resisting arrest and remains at the Lucas County jail, police said.

Police then checked the premises and found 161 marijuana plants and cultivation equipment. The street value of the seized plants is $257,600.

The marijuana growing operation is under investigation, officers said.
