Two Toledo men charged with robbing a home after forcing three people, including two children, to the floor at gunpoint were indicted by a Lucas County grand jury Tuesday.

Kenneth Powell, 20, of 411 Langdon St., and Darnell Cox, 18, of 1902 North Superior St., were charged with one count each of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery as well as three counts of kidnapping. Each of the charges had gun specifications attached.

A third suspect, Marquese Collins, 16, faces similar charges in Juvenile Court.

Police said three armed males forced their way into a home in the 1800 block of Marne Avenue after coming in through the backyard at 6:45 p.m. May 27. The men forced the two youngsters, ages 5 and 7, as well as their 15-year-old baby-sitter onto the floor at gunpoint, police said.

The victims were told that they would be shot if they did not comply, police said. The suspects left with televisions, cash, and some clothing.

Police said they arrested the three after stopping the getaway vehicle and found items stolen in the incident as well as the guns allegedly used.
