ALGER, Ohio A Findlay woman was seriously hurt in a single-car crash Wednesday night in Hardin County s Marion Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Erica McNeil, 23, the car driver who was thrown from the vehicle, was taken to St. Rita s Mercy Medical Center, Lima, where she was listed in critical condition, according to troopers at the patrol s Lima post.

Ms. McNeil was southbound on State Rt. 235 north of Marion Township Road 100 about 7:55 p.m. when she drifted off the west side of the roadway, overcorrected, and drove back across the road. The car went off the east side of the road, struck a ditch, overturned several times, and came to rest in a yard, the troopers said.

The crash occurred just south of Alger, which is about 60 miles southwest of Toledo. It remained under investigation by the patrol, which released no further information Thursday morning.
