A 55-year-old Perrysburg Township man told police he was assaulted in his Reitz Road home Thursday morning by an unknown male subject who knocked on his door, shoved him, tied him up, and demanded that the homeowner turn over several guns.

Samuel Slaughterbec, who lives at Lot No. 136 in the Village Green Mobile Home Park, said the intruder knocked items around the home after pushing his way into the living area at about 2:55 a.m.

The victim stated he was assaulted, but it was not known the extent of the injuries, according to police. The EMS squad was called to check him, said Perrysburg Township Police Chief Edward Stribrny.

Mr. Slaughterbec reported to police that other men were in the vicinity of his porch at the time of the incident and that they were wearing some sort of masks or hoods.

Detectives will be assigned to investigate the aggravated burglary, the chief said.
