6/13/2009

State Rep. Randy Gardner (R., Bowling Green) and Wood County Commissioner Tim Brown have called a public meeting for Sunday to discuss increasing water rates at Friendly Village manufactured home park in Perrysburg Township.

Friendly Village residents, owners, and management are invited to the meeting at 6 p.m. at the Perrysburg Township fire hall, 26711 Lime City Rd. Dozens attended a similar meeting last week in Rossford.

Water rates in Friendly Village, owned by Choice Properties, have increased since Universal Utilities of Flint took over utilities billing, residents said at last week s meeting. Universal Utilities also has been invited to tomorrow s meeting.

Friendly Village s manager has said owners have changed water rates from commercial to residential, and residents now are paying a flat service fee.
