Toledo police search for man who stole wheelchairs at retirement home

Toledo police are looking for a man accused of stealing two power wheelchairs from two elderly people at a West Toledo retirement home.

The chairs were taken at Alexis Garden Salon, 4560 West Alexis Rd., in two separate burglary incidents. The first incident occurred about 10 p.m. Thursday and the second about noon Sunday, Toledo police said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, with brown hair, brown eyes, and wearing a small moustache.

The man is about six feet tall, and weighing about 190 pounds. He was wearing a red shirt, and blue jeans in both incidents, officers said.
