Waterline fixed in Oak Harbor

6/18/2009

OAK HARBOR, Ohio - A broken water main on State Rt. 163 has been repaired and normal service restored, but the village remains under a boil-water alert until the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency gives the all clear, officials said.

The old waterline, which dates to 1939, was damaged Tuesday morning while crews performed planned maintenance. Water service was maintained to most of the village, but pressure was very low. The repair was completed by 11 p.m. the same day, village administrator Robert Pauley said.
