Man charged with theft, threats to housemate, 85

A West Toledo man accused of taking money from an elderly man with whom he lived and threatening to harm him was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury.

Edward Loney, 38, of 3716 Hazelhurst Ave. is charged with robbery, intimidation of a crime victim, and theft from an elderly person or disabled adult. If convicted, he faces up to 23 years in prison.

According to court records, Frank Donnelly, 85, told authorities Loney has been extorting money from him and threatening him.

Loney is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.
