Truck collides with Blue Bird train
7/1/2009The Blue Bird train and a truck collided Wednesday afternoon at Toledo Lake Erie and Western Railroad's gated crossing in Waterville. There were no injuries, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 1:45 p.m. on Waterville Monclova Road south of Disher Drive, according to the Lucas County Sheriff's Office.
The truck drove around gates and caught the back of the train, sheriff deputies said.
According to the Blue Bird train's Web site, the train runs from Waterville on a 15-mile, 60-minute round trip on the tracks of the Toledo, Lake Erie & Western Railway and Museum, Inc.
