Independence Day closings

Most city, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of Independence Day. Auto title offices also will be closed.

A list of select businesses and services follows:

Businesses

Banks and financial institutions will be open tomorrow with regular hours, but closed on the weekend. In-store banks will be open, but call for hours.

Retail centers

Woodville Mall will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Westfield Franklin Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Individual stores may have separate hours; call for their hours.

Public utilities

Toledo Edison offices and phone service and the Columbia Gas phone center will be closed tomorrow. Only emergency service will be available.

Libraries

All branches of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library will be open tomorrow with regular hours, but closed Saturday. The Sanger branch library will be open Sunday from 1-5:30 p.m.

Schools

Owens Community College will be closed today in observance of the holiday and tomorrow because offices there are closed Fridays during the summer. The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University will be closed tomorrow.

Mail service

Some post offices will be closed, some will be open regular hours, and some will close at noon tomorrow. Call before heading to a local post office. Regular mail delivery will be unaffected by change. Post offices will be closed on Saturday, and there will be no regular mail delivery except for Express Mail.

Bus service

Toledo Area Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday weekend schedule Saturday and on a Sunday schedule for tomorrow and Sunday.

Trash pickup

Refuse collection will be delayed a day in Toledo and outlying areas. Pickup for Toledo residents will leap forward.

Parking

Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free tomorrow.
