2 sought for questioning about Lambertville fire

7/4/2009

LAMBERTVILLE - Monroe County sheriff's deputies hope to question two men who were seen leaving a vacant house just before a fire there.

Deputies, the Bedford Township Fire Department, and fire investigators were dispatched to the house in the 9300 block of Summerfield Road about 3:30 p.m. June 24.

Witnesses said the men were at the back of the house for about two hours before the fire started.

Deputies said one of the men was 6 feet tall with brown hair cut in a military style, weighed about 160 pounds, and was age 20 to 30. No description was given for the other man. But deputies said one man was seen leaving in a red car, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, and the other was seen leaving in a gray Ford F-150 pickup with a generator and a gas can in the bed.

Investigators want to speak with both men. Anyone with information is asked to contact Monroe County sheriff's Detective Jeff Pauli, 734-240-7745.
