Body of man recovered near Toledo Beach site
7/4/2009LUNA PIER, Mich. The body of a man washed ashore Thursday south of Toledo Beach Marina, authorities said.
Monroe County sheriff s deputies had not identified the man last night, but it is believed to be a man who disappeared while on a family kayaking trip near here.
The body was found about 5 p.m., deputies said. It was that of a white male, about 50 years old, bald, with a light-colored beard.
He wore dark work pants and white tennis shoes, deputies said.
