Perrysburg Township to look at new water sources

7/14/2009

Perrysburg Township trustees yesterday voted 2-0 to enter into a contract with Hull & Associates to study new water sources for northwest Ohio and specifically northern Wood County.

Trustee Bob Mack abstained because of conflict of interest.

Township Administrator John Hrosko said trustees agreed to spend up to $10,000 on a three-phase study of alternative water sources. It is to be done in conjunction with another funded by Wood County, Ottawa County, and the Bowling Green-based Northwestern Water and Sewer District. That study is examining the feasibility of bringing water to Wood County from Ottawa County.

Perrysburg Township gets its water from Toledo, Perrysburg, and the Northwestern Water and Sewer District.
