Man shot overnight in central Toledo

A man was shot early Friday in the 600 block of Highland Avenue near Parkwood Avenue in central Toledo, authorities said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries about 1:05 a.m., according to the Toledo Fire Department.

As of 8 a.m. Friday, police were still searching the neighborhood, looking for the gunman, officers said.

They released no further information about the shooting at the time.
