Armed robbery suspect arrested in East Toledo

Toledo police Monday apprehended a man accused of attacking and robbing an Original Gino s Pizza manager.

Police said Hassan S. Hassan, 35, robbed and slashed manager Jason Filas with a sharp weapon Monday as Mr. Filas walked to his car from the restaurant at Monroe Street and Central Avenue.

Mr. Filas, who was carrying money for deposit, received nonlife-threatening injuries.

Mr. Hassan was apprehended about 30 minutes later in East Toledo and charged with aggravated robbery, police said.
