WAUSEON - The Fulton County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday that it has charged a former Maumee resident now living in Tennessee with the 1985 murder of 14-year-old Lori Ann Hill of Swanton.

Walter E. Zimbeck, 42, of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., was arrested Monday night at his home by the Sevier County Sheriff's Office and indicted on one count of aggravated murder and one count of murder.

The arrest and indictment followed an eight-month investigation by the Toledo-Lucas County cold-case unit and the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

Lori was last seen alive on Oct. 25, 1985, while walking home after a Halloween party. Four days later, on October 29, her beaten, nude body was found by a deer hunter in a wooded area about seven miles northeast of Wauseon.
