MONROE Power was restored about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday to nearly 500 DTE Energy customers who lost electricity about 3 p.m. when an electric line went down at Third and Hubble streets, said John Austerberry, a spokesman for the utility.

The outage affected parts of downtown Monroe, he said.

The utility is investigating whether construction in the area was a factor in the line going down, Mr. Austerberry said.
