Eastbound lanes of Ohio Turnpike closed

DELTA The Ohio Turnpike's eastbound lanes are closed at Exit 39, near Delta, because of a multi-vehicle crash between Delta and Swanton, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported Sunday night.

No details about injuries were immediately available, but a medical helicopter was sent to the scene to assist with rescue efforts, troopers said.

The crash, reported shortly after 8 p.m., involved at least one tractor-trailer, possibly two, and a car.
