A Toledo woman was arrested yesterday and charged with hitting her boyfriend with a car outside an Old South End bar, Toledo police said.

Alexandria Taylor, 27, of 2226 Broadway was charged with felonious assault with a motor vehicle and felony obstructing official business. She was booked into the Lucas County jail pending arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court, according to court records.

Joseph Muniz, 42, also of Toledo, the victim, was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, where he was in serious condition last night.

The incident occurred at 2:20 a.m. in the parking lot of Charleston's Bar at 402 Broadway, police said.

Police arrived about 2:30 a.m. and found Ms. Taylor standing over Mr. Muniz, who was lying behind a car, with his head near the rear bumper and pieces of a BB gun on the ground nearby.

Witnesses told police that the incident escalated from a fight outside the car that the couple had a short time before. The car was parked on the road at the time, officers said.
