Teen bicyclist identified in Wood County crash

JERRY CITY, Ohio Authorities yesterday released the name of a 13-year-old bicyclist struck by a vehicle the day before near this Wood County village, authorities said.

Brandon Williamson, 13, of Wayne, Ohio, was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Wood County sheriff s deputies said. He was listed in serious condition yesterday, a hospital spokesman said.

The boy was struck by a motorist about 1:30 p.m. Monday near State Rt. 281 and Huffman Road in Portage Township, authorities said. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were treated at the scene.
