A woman whose bound body was found in shallow water in Ottawa County has still not been identified, although a more complete description was released by the sheriff s department Thursday.
The white woman had brown eyes, long brown hair pulled into a pony tail, and was under 30 years old. She was 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighed 122 pounds.
The woman was dead before being placed in the water, the Ottawa County Sheriff s office said.
During an autopsy performed Wednesday by the Lucas County Coroner s office, several tattoos were found on the body including a second five-point star with a "sunburst" design that was found on the left front shoulder.
The sheriff s department had previously released a drawing of a similar tattoo found on the right shoulder.
Other tattoos include:
The victim also had a belly button piercing with a small chain that contained five links in the shape of flowers.
The woman s badly decomposed body was found weighted down by two concrete blocks in shallow water at Lamberjack s Marina near Oak Harbor. She was found with her arms bound behind her back and feet tied together.
Although an autopsy was completed, the cause of death was being withheld Thursday "for investigative purposes," according to the sheriff s office.
