Six people were in area hospitals Sunday morning after being injured in a two-car crash the night before in western Lucas County, at least two of them seriously, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Darrius Wilson, a passenger in one of the cars, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition, according to a hospital spokesman.

Vernon Grey, another passenger in the car driven by Richard Dobson of Lansing, Mich., was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center in critical condition, troopers at the patrol's Toledo post said. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on State Rt.. 2 at I-80 in Monclova Township.

The Dobson car was westbound on Route 2 when it failed to stop for a traffic light and struck a car driven by Kara Aultman of Delta, who was attempting to turn from eastbound Route 2 left onto the I-80 onramp, troopers said.

Ms. Aultman, Mr. Dobson, and his other passengers, Kayla Haynes and Rebekah Dobson, were taken to other area hospitals. Their injuries were not life-threatening, troopers said.

The crash remained under investigation.
